TV show reviews: So You Think You Can Dance – Part 2
Is Cedric the new Sanjaya? I really love this show, but it seems to have lost its footing over the past two episodes. While it once was a brilliant cross between American Idol and Dancing With the Stars, it now seems to be losing its legitimacy amidst the pressure to produce top TV ratings above all else.
For weeks, even dating back to the audition process, Nigel Lythgoe has repeatedly stated his concerns about rubber-limbed male dancer Cedric. His unique dance style has always been breathtaking – the man appears to have no bones in his body, and his flexibility defies everything that we learned in Physics. His solo performances are deeply moving.
But Nigel’s apprehension about placing him in the top Read the rest of this entry »

The Weather Channel has evolved into more than most have ever imagined that it would when it all began in 1982. The televised show was broadcast 24 hours/7 days a week in the beginning. No CommentsFavorite sitcoms – Part 13
The best sitcom ever made is by far Seinfeld
Seinfeld goes places that no sitcom has ever gone before. It introduces situations that can relate to the lives of the people who watch and be totally outlandish at the same time.
For those that have never seen it, it follows the lives of Jerry Seinfeld, George Costanza, Elaine Bennes, and Cosmo Kramer. It is a self described show about nothing. The storylines are always hilarious. Sometimes the storylines of each character are separate throughout the whole show, only to come together at the end in an unexpected way.
Probably the best thing about this show is how it is never serious. Even issues such as death are met with a joke and Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsTV show reviews: Supernatural – Part 3
You know what I love most about SUPERNATURAL? That it brings out both passion and creativity in me! I have a boring 6:30 AM – 3 PM job, a wife and hausfrau’s ho-hum after work life, an adult son who no longer needs me. When I get home, between cooking dinner and doing laundry, I head for my computer and search the internet for new photos, film clips, videos and articles about the show itself, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, the show’s handsome, kind and fan-friendly stars. When I go to my gym, I exercise with erotic abandon to specially-chosen MP3 songs, fantasizing about Jensen and Jared in ways that keep me working hard on the Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsTV show reviews: Chuck – Part 3
Chuck!
Chuck Bartowski – Zachary Levi
Sarah Walker – Yvonne Strechowski
Morgan Pace – Joshua Gomez
Ellie Bartowski – Sarah Lancaster
John Casey – Adam Baldwin
The plot of the shows takes a nerdy computer installer at a big name electronics store that gets an email from a friend/CIA agent, that downloads all of america’s secrets into his brain through a series of photographs.
Now the sum up of the plot, when read aloud sounds completely idiotic, and that is exactly what I thought when i watched the first episode. But, the second episode may have just put it back on my radar. The supporting cast of characters will keep this show afloat at least for a entire season. Adam Baldwin delivers a Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsTV show reviews: Fringe – Part 2
“Fringe” opens auspiciously enough, like “LOST,” in a Cold Opening that recalls the line “It was a dark and stormy night” on a mysterious spooky airliner, Lufthansa Flight 627, out of Hamburg bound for Chicago, when a mysterious contagion ripples through the passenger cabin, a condition that presents with projectile vomiting – major projectile vomiting – after which the skin and tissues rapidly melt a la “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” Fortunately, the pilot hits autopilot, the plane lands itself safely at O’Hare Int’l (modern planes can do that) and before you can say HAZMET an alphabet soup of Federal agencies cordon off the plane to take a poke inside.
Created by J. J. Abrams (screenwriter of “Regarding Henry,” producer Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsTV show reviews: I Love Lucy
I Love Lucy is probably the most popular television show of all time. It definitely was one of the funniest shows ever on television. And for a thousand good reasons. The simplicity of the cast (Arnaz, Ball, Vance, and Frawley) is great The physical comedy in the show stands out among any other show, and it set precedence over other shows of the same genre by some of the innovative things that the show achieved. By this I mean that I love Lucy was one of the first TV shows to actually go into syndication. Desi Arnaz got the show off of the ground by actually putting his own name on the line, and by this started the Desilu company. The Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsThe Sci – Part 1
There are a number of shows that are very good on the Sci-Fi Channel. The station has a great selection of programs to choose from. The variety of shows in their line-up gives the channel a strong following from sci-fi fans. We all love a good science fiction story.
One of my favorite shows on the Sci-Fi Channel is Ghost Hunters. This is a weekly program that follows real-life paranormal researchers Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson on their investigations of potential hauntings. There are other programs that are similar to Ghost Hunters such as Scariest Places on Earth (hosted by Linda Blair) and Scarybut True.
Another good show is Mind Control with Derren Brown. This show follows mentalist Derren Brown as he Read the rest of this entry »

No CommentsTV show reviews: Go, Diego! Go! – Part 1
Go, Diego! Go! is a popular spin off from the show Dora the Explorer. My daughter always loved watching Dora, and my son would watch to as she remarked that it was a “girl show.” So he was so happy when the show Go, Diego! Go! made its debut on September 6, 2005. Now as my daughter tries to watch Diego, my son mutters to her that it is a “boy show.”
The show is based on a bilingual eight year old boy named Diego Mrquez. He helps animals that are in danger throughout the show. He asks the children to help him locate the animal with some of his gadgets. It encourages the children to interact with the show Read the rest of this entry »
